Farewell....

Farewell is not a very nice word to appear on a piece of paper, blog, or anywhere else. Farewell is not fun. Farewell does not bring any sort of happiness and joy. Farewell can only have one meaning and that is sad. Farewell is sad.

My "brothers" and I had to bid a sad farewell to our "mum" and "aminah". It is totaly inevitable. Well, it could have if both of them had decided to stay on for another year, but they didnt and we respected their decisions. Guess it is part of life right.
Despite their farewells, I believe our times together was already more than enough that even a farewell would not have that much of an impact. A farewell is even worse when you don't get a chance to either say, "Take care, keep in touch, let's meet again!"or have had wonderful memories together. And, I am glad we had that chance, to the extent of exchanging hugs. Great!

Ever since they came to Auckland last year, we had many happy times together, from even the smallest of things to the biggest. Netball sessions, dance practices, yogo times, some ps2 and sing star actions, meal times, road trip and many more. They now remain a part of our life experiences. I am glad that our paths have at least crossed once, better than never. And now, I can only hope that our paths cross again.

Only time can tell what will happen in the future. Now, we must keep to our promises of keeping in touch. Till then, take care my two good KL friends.

Great Easter Sunday

Easter Sunday. Most people would have slept in and then hit the beach around noon time. It was different for me. Hehe. The day started off with me attending Easter Sunday mass at St Patrick's Cathedral, 8 am in the morning. I was ten minutes late, but I felt happy. I felt peace and comfort in the cathedral, man, I have always love this kind of feeling.

After mass, got back to my apartment and geared up for our cycling trip to Ladies Bay, just further up St Heliers Bay, where you can see nude men and women basking in the sun. Sounds great, isn't it? Well, you will know later whether it is great or not.

All of us (Sher Mayne, Sharvin, Ivan, Shaun, Pei Lyn and Pei Lyn's bro) met up in 96 at 10 am. It took us quite awhile before we actually took off. We had to readjust the seats and pump the tires. All went well, and off we went! We cycled along Symonds Street till we reached the harbour, then used the bicycle lane to Ladies Bay. It was not a tough journey, considering the path was really flat. But, the journey from St Heliers to Ladies Bay was a pain, and yet not rewarding with what we saw later on.

Rangitoto Island is behind us

Do we look like siblings?

We were looking forward to seeing some hot chicks and guys, and we got to see was the white bum of a guy. Man!!!! So disappointing. I personally felt the timing was not right. Perhaps, we should have gone on a week day or something when the nudists are more daring to come out. Hehe. That's the naughty me. Lolz.

After that, we settled down in St Heliers Bay for a small picnic. We had hot chocolate, grain waves and some bread with tuna (courtesy of Pei Lyn). Once we had enough, we then carried out our task for the day. What else again? SABO!!!! As you may already guess, yes, the victim was Pei Lyn because she is going to leave soon. Hehe

Give me food!!!

It was just a matter of time...

The poses prior to sabo

I was the photographer this time. The whole thing started with some photo taking of different poses with the sea as the background. Then, Sher Mayne suggested that we should do a jump. And they did. Well not all of them, at least I knew that Sher Mayne didnt. She had eggs with her. As Pei Lyn jumped, her back got smashed by eggs. Haha. Ivan then started chasing Pei Lyn with more eggs thrown at her. Meanwhile, the cleanest guy after every sabo session, Sharvin, finally got his fair share from Sher Mayne. He was caught off guard this time, and Poo!! he got floured!!! Haha.

The sabo didnt just stopped there. The sabo team then went back on their promises on not to sabo each other. I started it by throwing pepper at Sher Mayne. Hehe, from there onwards, all us got some dirts on our clothes when everyone just started to take on everyone. Hehe. As usual, it has become even messier after every sabo session.

I got into Boobies Trap...darn

At around 4, we then cycled back to 96. Had gelato at Mission Bay. Actually, we wanted to have Movenpick but was told that it was going to close for the day. There was a long queue. We reached 96 near to 5.30pm with everyone in one piece. Phew, what a day it was! It was definitely fun and I see more coming in the near future -> cycling trip.

Milestones - Reached 96

Life...

In life, there are many things that one does not understand, especially the nature and cause of an event or happening. As for me, I have fairly reasoned out why every particular event took place. I always believe that there is at least a reason for an event to happen, whether it is for the better or worse. Most of the time, I believe it is for the better.

I have to admit that things have changed quite a bit in my life. Life is not the same as before. I can bravely say that I have changed for the better, and with that I hope that this change does not compromise anyone (although I think it did). So, here, I want to apologize to anyone who have been affected because of this change in me. Have faith and believe that if this change has affected you in a way or another, it is always for the better. Life is dynamic and one cannot just be remain static in its own comfort zone.

Learning how to adapt to changes in life is very vital for survival in the real world. Keeping to your old self will not bring you far or to the dreams that you want to achieve. Your past should always be memories and not scar or obstacle that affects your current life and goals.

Actually I am writing this as a reminder for myself. Till now, I do not understand why God had wanted me to have an injured knee, when HE knows that I love sports so much that I will almost do everything to just play. Is there something more important that he wants me to discover apart from sports? I am still wondering till now. When is it that I will get the answer?

Perhaps, perhaps ... a lot of perhaps. What can I do? I can only accept the fact that I have an injured knee and that I should stop sports for awhile and concentrate more on the rehab. So God, please help me to have control over myself and let me stop when I should stop. I need to learn how to adapt this change in my life, and live with it till I am better!

Overcoming your fear is a part of life, Anneh and you did it!!!

I am really sorry for not updating my blog for a very long time, since February 11. There have been a lot of happenings lately, not just university but my social life as well. Things have been going really well so far, but busy.

Today, I woke up at 12.30pm. I had a late night watching some movies. With the work load I have at the moment, I was all set to get some work done in the afternoon. But, not long later from that ambitious thought, I received a text from Sher Mayne, asking me to join in the fun of witnessing the first ever water jump by our only Anneh. Tempted as usual where the smell of fun is so strong, I agreed to go (only after good skillful persuassion).

So at 2.10, we departed from 96 with the athletes who survived Round The Bays 08. All of them looked tired. Haha, but they knew water was coming up, hence refreshing for the drained body. In addition to that, we had one evil intention. We was going to push both Sharvin and Pei Lyn off the wharf, into the water.

Initially, it wasnt all smooth sailing because we could only have one target instead of two. Pei Lyn couldnt make it at first. Fortunately, she decided to change her mind to join in the fun without knowing what was ahead of her.
Our journey to the beach was somehow funny as well. Both Sharvin and Ivan were exhausted from the run and guess what we did??? Hehe

Ivan drinking while ZZzzzz...
Good indication by Anneh-san
We met with Boon at Murrays Bay, the location where we saw a heroic attempt from our Anneh. Pei Lyn knew we were going to throw her down, so she insisted that she would jump down on her own. We all respected her decision, hence one target down.

Clearly our only target was Anneh. Hehe. A guy who does not know how to swim, jumping off the wharf. Hero? Hehe. Not quite. Look at the video from the link below and judge.

Before this, Sher Mayne's jandal fell into the water twice, first, thrown by Ivan and the second, blown by the wind. Poor her, she had to swim quite a distance to get it back again. Sorry Mayne, your jandal just slipped off my fingers.

In the end, we played some frisbee, then followed by Sand Attack and swimming lessons for our Anneh. All in all, it was a good get away before another week of uni again. I am glad I went, thanks Jagung!!

Found her slipper!!!!

The WAR begins from here onwards.....
